Sea Shepherd is an international non-profit marine conservation movement known for its direct-action approach. It was founded in 1977 by one of the original members of Greenpeace, Paul Watson.
Many know Sea Shepherd from the popular TV-show “Whale Wars”, were they attempt to stop the killing of whales by Japanese whaling vessels in the Southern Ocean off the coast of Antarctica.
Sea Shepherd currently operates twelve ships and several smaller boats working on various ocean conservation campaigns all around the globe.
Their core mission is to defend all marine life species and protect our planet’s oceans from illegal exploitation and environmental destruction.
At Subwing we’re proud to donate 1% off our revenue to Sea Shepherd to support their campaigns.
We have also donated two Subwings for them to test if they can be of valuable use in any of their missions.
